About the work:
Inspired by McQueen’s S/S 2004 fashion show, Red Curtain vs. The People explores the performative aspects of life and the ways in which maneuver within competitive systems. Arriving as auditionees for a show hosted by an unknown entity, competitors perform amongst one another in order to establish the best fit for an unknown goal, through means of survival. The piece is a theatrical reality. A reality performing as itself.
