Red Curtain: The Great Pretender is a loose representation of the ballerino Nijinksy’s fall into psychosis, told through the music of Queen. The Great Pretender brings witness to a rockstar’s destruction of self through ego and the rise of a creature created by the artist. It’s a push and pull of humility, ego and motherly instincts. Questioning, can one love another beyond either’s well being?
